Hi All

A friend is interested in the +4 for sale at Allon Whites, it is metallic red and has Power Steering, its registration is clearly visible on their website or I would not mention it and its P30 AA.

Just wondering if anyone knows this car or its history, its advertised as a 2008 registration but has many 2007 features in the photos?

Many thanks

Yes, thanks for that, I was working off the car and DVLA shows it as you say.

It has the earlier dash (which I prefer), so it probably hung around at the dealer for a while, before being registered in 2008.

Very high spec by the look of it. Why don't I like metallic red cars? I love metallic red wine. wine

I like metallic red, it's light-coloured upholstery that puts me off. I am far too grubby to get anywhere near honey coloured leather. But a nice car, I doubt it will languish long at AWSC...

Lovely car; but surely a "Traditional" Morgan shouldn't have metallic paint?

It's ok: all traditional Morgans are British Racing Green. You can paint them whatever colour you like, they are still BRG.

From what we understand it was built in 2007 so hence the earlier dash, registered in July 2008. However when I was at the factory in February 2008 watching my 4 seater in build I saw the new dash going into it, I delayed build to get the revised front suspension geometry and later dash, and they were still fitting the earlier dash for cars that had ordered Walnut and the cream dial option, as with so many things Morgan changes are spread over a long time sometimes. I was assured mine would have a clock as it was a 4 seater and they all got clocks, when I saw the dash on the bench in the trim shop it had no clock, as it transpired they decided to delete the clocks on the 4 seater as a standard fitment when they ran out of dashes already cut out according to Mark Leddington who was showing me round on that visit.

My own plus 4 is a very, very similar colour, although mine has the rather grand title of "Jaguar Imperial Crimson"! I think it is a fantastic colour and to my mind much pleasanter on the eye than a plain red. Agree also about the light upholstery - mine is red.

Prices are holding up well if that's the going rate - I paid approx £34k for my 2010 Plus Four two years ago with 5000 miles - similar spec.

Might be worth keeping an eye on the 2008 Plus Four due in

Now I am curious about the 2015 due in DAMMIT!
