Lovely Claudio. Just what I had in mind. It is always a pleasure to view your designs.

Stevet, congrats on buying what looks like a very original tc. I owned a 46 model in the early 50's which was also black but with beige upholstery the wheels as ex factory were silver painted, as stated elswhere the grill always matched the interior colour.
Before buying my 1st mog about 20 years ago I totally rebuilt a lhd td, [tds were the first midget to be offered in lhd form] took me 4 years: then ran it for a couple sold it and bought a 79 +8 which now resides on the continent. I now have a 3ltr roadster.

Thanks John

Well I'm impressed with how easy and quick the import process is! In a little over a week I've registered its arrival with customs, contacted the DVLA and received a UK reg number and V5, amazing!

But still can't drive it yet, carbs are away being rebuilt, but I've done quite a bit of work. Spent 2 days getting the doors aligned, sorted out various electrical issues, removed and refitted properly the seats (held in by 2 self tappers!) and renewed a leaking oil hose.
It always surprises me how a supposedly restored car is spoilt by poor workmanship in the final stages. Wrong fixings or sized washers etc drive me crazy.. But I'm getting there. Managed to source a genuine Jaeger temp gauge and fitted it without damage to the dash , they were extra factory options..
Pics soon! Regards, Steve.

So here's some photos. Just finished rebuilding the carbs, nasty stuff coming out of the tank so fitted an inline magnetic filter, hardly original but it's needed at the moment. It's rather a challenge to drive with the steering and braking not for the faint hearted! Still jobs to do but at least it's on the road after a couple of weeks putting things right. Not impressed with the 'restoration' done but I will get there eventually.
