That was Peter's (Gambalunga) thought (posted in another TM's thread) about a Morgan Trad 2+2.
As I'm very interested in the design of 4-seater and (2+2)-seater Trad-Morgans, I decided to design a similar car in accordance with his "desiderata", and showed it on the thread.
"Lovely Claudio. Just what I had in mind" was his reply.

But differently from Peter, I'm convinced that Morganeers are not 4-seater or (2+2)-seater enthusiast; They are only fond of the 2-seater Trad-shape (IMHO); and I say more......even they have to travel everywhere with their old-fashion/big suitcases put on a chromed rack fixed to the rear back of their cars...(and all that is neither confortable nor safe), it is so ....a "period" experience... that I think they, ultimately....,.love it, and don't want to change their habit.

So to solve my dilemma, I just decided to open a new thread about that, hoping to read your opinions.......
I kindly hope Peter (not me) was right!

Very smart Claudio. The hood is much better looking than the actual four seater.

For simple storage it would be brilliant, but how would anyone sit in the back? It seems the slope of the hood would make that impossible.

I used to own an 1953 MGTD for 30 years, and in many ways it had the perfect amount of interior space, for a sports car, I found the current trad 2 seater too small, nowhere to put dogs, comfortably, grandchildren, shopping and bags out of sight, so I ended up with, what I consider to be, an ugly 4 seater.

Your design Claudio looks perfect to get around all the shortcomings of the 2 seater, without the bulk and body length of the 4 seater. Well done.

Why not heighten the rear hood stick, so that the slope of the back window matches the slope of the back panel, that will give a little more headroom inside, whilst maintaining a pleasing line to the rear?

All we want now is for MMC to take the idea on board and build it. If I was in the market for a new car, I would certainly be writing to Steve Morris to ask the question.

Nice looking apart from the wheels. They just look a tad flashy.

Sort of wheels that would look better on an Aero based car, perhaps?

I like that, agree about the wheels, I had a new 4 seat in 2008 and took the rear seats out (except for the centre section as that's structural)for a trip to Sweden. Fantastic luggage capacity and very easy to live with so I can see what your getting at.

The hood looks very good but I would not drive one feet with this car.

The srews in the wheels are missing

Yes, good idea, I like the look, I even quite like the wheels, although they ought to be painted rather than shiny.

What would be really neat would be if the hood folded down in a way that left a tonneau cover of the rear of the car.

As you say, it would be a very easy option for MMC to offer.
