Thanks John. For me, it's a case of doing the job properly so that things are unlikely to fail in the first place and are easily dismantled and quickly repaired if necessary. The exhaust manifolds, made by the legendary Dave Kerby 25 years ago, have been ceramic coated by Zircotec.

That looks one very powerful lump David.

I just love the sight of the 4 downdraughts sitting in the vee. Do you have any problems with keeping all the carbs in synch, or has the new linkage solved that?

I just don't think carbs and cats mix terribly well , otherwise I could be tempted.

Actually Andy, I have never had a problem in the 24 years of running this setup. Each pair of carbs on each side are interconnected and each side is connected by a single linkage in the middle of the pairs to which the throttle cable is attached.

It's actually a very simple setup.

For anyone who's interested, here are the power curves taken from the dyno.

No not really. No choke fitted but once the fuel pump has primed, four presses on the accelerator and a turn of the key does it.

Starting her hot is a bit more of a problem due to fuel vaporisation but she's not too bad.

I've posted an image of the power curves. 200 Ft/Lbs of torque and 40 BHP is available at just above tick-over. Glorious! She is so easy to drive but pulls like a train!
