Forgot to post that my copy of the book arrived yesterday
Will be settling down tonight with a glass of Chateau Musar 1995 decanted an hour ago (down to my last case sadly) and having a good read

mmmmm...Chateau Musar...I'm down to my last two bottles, 97 and 07. Sadly my stock of 78, 83 and 88 in magnum is a dim and distant memory. Which reminds me, what is it again that causes memory loss?

Which reminds me, what is it again that causes memory loss? 88 was the first vintage I tasted and I've loved it ever since although I haven't tasted anything past 97 as I've got too much to keep in a reasonable condition so having to drink a bit more I normally only open to enjoy among good friends but I suspected this bottle was a bit overly oxidised as the level looked low so enjoying it alone

My car is an Oct 12 with the bar bolted in across the chassis. Does this count as one of the chassis that will fail or is it ok?
It's also got the later centrally located power outlet so I'm hoping it was a slightly later chassis. Hasn't cracked yet! But only 4200 miles...

I see the book is now available from the Morgan Shop. I think it's pretty cool that a manufacturer is prepared to sponsor a warts and all publication on a current model. That suggests to me they are confident the issues raised have been addressed. Well done for all concerned. http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/mmc/shop/i...the-future.html

When reading Philips post, I noticed that Wiscos asked a chassis question which went unanswered, if you haven't found out yet, the chassis that were mainly cracking, and from what I can gather, is that the main difference between '12 and '13 cars is that the front end has some gusset triangles welded in, whereas the earlier cars did not. They all had the bolted in bracing bar, so this is not necessarily an ID item.
As a matter of interest, the fact that MMC welded in gussets shows that they were aware of chassis weakness at a very early stage of production, in fact one of the dealers told them about a breakage on one of the first dealer demo cars to go out, and got very short shrift apparently.

I just spotted Wiscos post too .
My Sept 12 car had the bolt on brace and my chassis did crack , around 10,000 miles I think .
