What is the current thinking for the correct amount of oil in the bevel box, should it be to the orange cap on the side of the bevel box or to the upper hole on the rear. I have just changed mine and filled it to the orange cap, and am now worried I have over filled it.

I actually managed to do this from behind just had to remove the luggage tray. I have thin arms and was able to get my arm through the gap to unscrew the orange cap, oil was put with 100ml syringe and plastic tube.

I filled it through the orange cap & it has a breather,so any excess oil may pour out.but i haven't had any problems at all.

With a can of 1/4 gallon of oil is actually two oil changes, my bevelbox were traces of oil leaks from the oil seal input shaft which stopped after replacing 75W140 GL5 85W140 mineral with syntetic I do not know if this is related to the oil leak.

+1. The BB seems to run a little quieter with this oil.
