I remember our art teacher in school saying
"An artist needs to learn when to stop painting. There is an urge to just do a bit more. That can result in a mess. Sometimes the phrase....less is more.....needs to be remembered"
So true.
In that car there are far too many over detailed bits, each detracting from the others.
Some of the work would be acceptable in isolation or as a detail not blatantly jump out at you style.
Hmmmmmm......I have some gold leaf in my dad's old toolbox.....
Dare I?

Good point and it no doubt took a very long time with some craft and skill

Very true. It's easy to criticise but it is someone's pride and joy and they must have spent a fair bit of money on it. We all have different tastes which makes our cars interestingly individual.
In a show of Morgans it certainly will get plenty of attention.

I don't see it that way. The pictures aren't pictures snapped on the street, it is professional pictures taken of professional work, taken for publication, and one should be allowed to criticise such work regardless of someone actually owning it or not.

I am reminded of the other thread were some TM resident thought it was wrong to criticise the looks of a mule from Rolls.

If we can ooh and ahh over cars we like we should also be able to criticise things we don't like the looks of.

Boohoo, it sounds like you two are the proxy of someone's imagined hurt feelings. So, now, because it is a Morgan, then it's out of the question to say something is ugly or overdone. Got you. Last time, it was the mere thought of someone who might like the style of the Rolls mule that made it offensive to say that was ugly.

So, in short, it is somehow offensive to say a car is overdone, or even ugly because it might offend some owner somewhere, but it is perfectly fine calling the people who voice their opinion on the looks of car for prats.

I'm glad the priorities of the pair of you is not screwed up.

Btw, I posted this, which is not close to just bashing something. It is obviously a voicing of my opinion, and I do note a few good things about it to, while I also say that there is too many unnecessary details for my liking.

One of the good things about this car is that the leather at the sides of the seats are sewn through. Perhaps something like that (or just a few lines of stitches) will stop the inside sides sagging as is so common with leather seats.

But, hey, better call me a prat again for not oohing and ahhing over a vehicle, because if I do not, I might hurt someone's feelings. Oh, and the horror that this is someone who owns a particular brand of cars. No, we can't have that.

Don't know. Perhaps it has to do with the intellectual dishonesty that is inherent in calling other people prats while pretending to defend someone imaginary's feelings as seems par for the course for quite a few members on here.
