I cut up a £7.00 Ikea washable doormat. Non slip back, easy to clean and at £7.00 for 2 mats, very cheap.

I got some very cheap thin black cord carpet - cut it to size & carpet taped it over the existing mats. Lasts a couple of years or so then chuck it out & repeat.

I've successfully installed my home made rubber mats and they do the job very nicely. I've got more than enough to make another set so if there's anyone out there who wants it and lives near Audlem Cheshire you can have it for £10 donated to this site.
