Update 60 - TyCroes Double Header Weekend - Race 1

So TyCroes was our first race for the season, new car, not raced for a while...... so torrential rain and a warning from the track steward of patches of rain between 1" and 2" deep was not welcome news.

To try to make things more involving I've decided to make a short film for each of the events - not sure how this is going to turn out but hopefully you'll find my attempts reasonable.

Great video, cars sound really good, I bet it was a bit daunting with all that standing water on day1. thumbs

Indeed - I don't know anyone who "likes" racing I the wet...... I was lucky to have 9 pit crew for the weekend who were giving one universal message - don't crash the car!!

So getting round, not crashing and with no mechanical failures on Sat was a result. Finishing mid-field against class 10times tells me we're competative.

Sunday - getting within 2 secs of the class 10 lap record and still chopping multiple secs per run off my time says there's plenty more in it.

For the Sunday race I finished Joint 4th with the dual drive (Baines the younger) of the 3.7 Roadster!! due to the grid numbers - it meant I picked up a little trophy.... Woohoo

Off to Debden today!! Mog grid is much smaller (3) but there is a 4.6 +8 who is in my class. Look forward to giving you all the update next week!

Glad to see you like the vid - hopefully we'll improve the format/filming but I thought you'd all prefer to hear and see the car in action. Also expose the activities of s normal sprint day!
