Well, I haven't tried anything yet that was suggested but I'm amazed at how many folks have or had a whistle. It seems as if the noise is more towards the cockpit and almost seems as if it is under the dash. At least now I have something to work with. Can I assume that the gap that Dave is talking about is between the bonnet and the tub? It appears as if most models have had this noise so it could be that it is a problem basic to the body design. Hopefully I'll be able to try some of these ideas out in the next couple of days. Any other ideas would be welcome. I sure would like to get the wife out for a spirited drive with no noise.

No, between the headlamp rim and headlamp unit. Pop the rim off and stick the tape to the headlamp. One screw per side. Bad whistle on Mr Bumble until I did this.
