Owing go the conservation area we cannot make the garage too big. Also there is an important local tree next to the garage. Im hoping the sliding doors will help with getting round the car. Thought of an L shape garage but my gf does not want the small garden to be diminished. We are doing the extension too so we have already lost alot of external space.

Looking good I would suggest future add ons when money is permitting a projector on the back wall with a drop down screen over the door and a beer fridge to the side and you have the perfect place to sit and watch films. PS - possibly a fish tank...

If you think it's big enough, reconsider, 10% extra doesn't cost a huge amount more and you'll always fill the space.

I agree. Having myself built a small garage for mine , absolute minimum is to be able to comfortably walk around it , and if you wan to do work on it , be able to take the bonnet off without damaging yourself or the car. I have about 2 foot each side of the car , and about three at the front , two at the back and consider it too small.
