Has anybody noticed that the cooling fan pushes air forwards?!! I checked the rotation direction arrow on the fan and its spinning as indicated but pushes air forwards. Great when its stationary but makes cooling worse up to about 10mph when it turns off as it blows air against the natural flow. Just put a cloth or tissue against the back of the fan (near the "grill") when its idling and it sucks it forwards! 2015 model

Stationary it does the job.
But Driving slow till 10mph,you can say its pointless but dont give it much thought as you wont be driving the mog the whole time from 3-9mph

Agreed, it's only a problem (if at all) in slow moving traffic, but I cooked a water cooled engine cos the guy before me had wired the fan backwards

The design of the fan shroud directs the air over the rear part of the head more efficiently than cooling fans do when the car is going over 10 mph. The fan does blow forward because it cools the engine better blowing that direction when the car isn't moving.

The fan air blow speed is well above 10mph So I think it is good at all speeds. It is a very strong fan. Also, alot of the air actually goes diagonally at the back near the exhausts. That's the heat sink region.
fan also has a ducting benefit at speed. I once stopped after a motorway run in winter and fan did not come on it is so effective.

I have wateched the voltage drop when fan is on. I think it gets gradually stronger depending on the temp.
mine goes on at 14.1 with no lights at idle. But sometimes as low as 13.6.
