Hi Graham......I was tempted but my cars down at Allon Whites for a new hood so I didn't book as I wasn't sure when I'd get the car back. If spectators are allowed I fancy popping over to watch anyway......... you know if they are allowed?

Just a couple of days before your post I placed an order for the Librands Road hoop to be fitted to my Roadster by my dealer. It is clear from the quote that there is a substantial amount of labour involved to fit.I am doing it mostly for a feeling of security as I doubt I will be able to easily turn it over with my normal driving style. It does mean I can easily fit something more suitable if I ever had the opportunity to compete with it. I was a bit worried about the asthetics of it, but am assured it looks good on the car. Since you are in Oslo I know you are going to have to swallow hard when you see your quote. I have just received the quote for replacing one brake pipe and the front brake pads on my BMW here in Stavanger and that would itself cover the purchase cost of the hoop system in the UK.
Would be happy to pick your car up in Oslo and drive it to the UK and back, would be a couple of pleasant weekends. woohoo

That is an excellent suggestion!

I might take you up on it if the quote from Insignia (Oslo Morgan importer/dealer) is to steep and only if it's super convenient for you! cheers

Thats great Graham.....I'd like to see what the sprint day is all about. So...it may well be one of the three I turn up in or on!

My roll bar came in handy when I met a tractor and trailer in a narrow lane. I pulled to one side and stopped. The tractor passed me but his load of straw bales caught on an overhanging branch with the result that some of it bounced off my bar. The chap following the tractor was horrified but by then the tractor driver had passed on his merry way oblivious.

Jay, I know what you mean, a full harness would be better, but a roll over with no bar would probably take your head off, so to my mind it must give a bit of extra protection.
I should get it back in time for Curborough, hopefully see you there.
