Do go for the mohair toneau, not much over the pvc variety but soooooo much better.

Do not get the immobiliser or the intercom system, both a waste of time.

Heated seats weren't an option when I got mine so I use a motorcycle heated waistcoat, keeps your front warm as well.

The jury is still out on the photo build book, expensive but nice to have even though most of the photos are library photos, could be any 3 wheeler really especially in mine case where the last photo is clearly not my car as it has the wrong exhausts on.

Brooklands steering wheel would also be high on my options list were I to be placing an order now.

The hardest part of pre M3W ownership is choosing the colour and spec. as there are infinite possibilities.

They used to say there were never 2 identical Landrovers ever produced, I bet thats true of the M3W.

I would suggest the tall hoops, if your not sure sit in one and see where the top of the hoop is relative to the back of your head and imagine what might happen if you get a shunt from the rear. For me it was level with the centre of the back of my head and I wouldn't want to have that hit me at speed, tall hoops on mine! Apart from the fact that the normal ones won't protect much in the event of a crash or a roll

I have the tall hoops on a '15 model and will be in Oxford next Saturday if that helps. Look much much better in the flesh!

Mohair tonneau - definate yes

Immobiliser - definate no

Quilted leather - for me a definate yes.

Pockets - expensive but useful to have either the factor ones or dealer/self fit

Heated seats - maybe, or heated jacket if you plan to use in low teps

Steering wheel - the standard is nice ot use but looks pants. Brooklands, superspoke or moto lita all worth considering

Stage 1 air filter and exhaust - will elt the enginge breath and perform properly.

Mohair Cover - yes def.
Intercom - installed it, waste of money.
Heated seats - were not available in 2013, would have installed them.
Immobiliser - didn't install it and insurance company insisted I have one!
Door pockets - holds a phone and that's about it.
Quilting - adds a touch of class.

Depending on your height get a smaller diameter wheel with a spacer and move the pedals forward for greater driving comfort. I went Mota-Lita in same leather colour.

I did not spec my car having taken over a cancelled order.

Door pockets made my own.
Pleated leather thanks. Quilted not on keeping with the image IMO & probably harder to clean.

Got my new M3W 4 weeks ago, with spec as follows (for the record) - thanks all for their advice! Garage fit is fine and easier to get in than I expected. Need to fix the internal garage door to be fireproof now I have a real car in there though...

Taller roll hoops
Black exhaust shields
Front wheel spinners
Quilted leather
Heated seats
Union Jack enamel badges
PVC tonneau

Mods under consideration:
Rear mudguard (can't believe they have no rain or mud in Malvern!)
Fairbourne Aero Screen (for when not wearing a helmet at certain velocities)
Luggage rack (for 2-up touring next Summer)
Additional rear strap for the tonneau cover (the zip stopper flew off on first use so need something to replace that, and the zip looks like it might fight the paintwork over time)
Steering wheel extension (for that extra knee height)
Battery conditioner (in case there are extended bad weather periods - or work drags me away)...

Of course what I really want is a Vickers .303 and bead sight...
