Same as rolsmith, I use two alloy angle irons and made hooks to hook on to a spoke, snug up and measure from floor to get the same height (flat floor) on both sides plus use small level on the angle irons. Measure across the front and then the back. I was confused at first because many tie rods have LH thread on one side and RH on the other, the Morgans are both RH. Be patient.

To adjust the parallelism of the front wheels I shot a line two meters in front and behind each front wheel to place a large metal ruler, I used a laser level on the top of the wheels to two meters evoyer light I measurement with gradutions on the metallic rule, one centimeter on a distance of one meter equals 1 °

I bought a kit off the internet and settled on just under 1 degree of toe in as it seems to handle better. It is fairly easy to do the measurement as long as you have a flat surface, such as a garage.

I finally settled on some rigid aluminum stock clamped onto the inside fender. Stuck one end a few inches past the rear fender so my tape could see it and the rest hanging out front. These were four foot lengths. After satisfying myself that the car was tracking straight I set these up and made sure that I was level, the car was level and the bars were level. Any deviation was going to radically show up at the ends out front. The initial readings showed that I was way out +3 degrees. I managed to bring it down to zero, tightened everything up, took it out for a test drive and brought it back. Set it up again and it was all good. Car tracks straight, steering is much easier and braking is far more positive.

My tires, Blockleys, have been chewed up a bit but they will last the year. In the meantime, after several discussions with "those who know things" I'll be looking into some decent motorcycle tires for this beast. The Blockleys, which were far and away better than the stock Avons, were acquired here in the states and are cracking already so that tells me that they were in a warehouse for a serious amount of time. No excuse for that.
