We went to MOG 2015 in a demo Jaguar F-Type with the 340 bhp engine, very impressive car - I'd love to own one!

I was very tempted by an F Type.... but happy with my 8... I couldn't own both, they'd sort of eclipse each other.
I've had 3 Jagwaaaars over the years and would highly recommend them. The dealership experience can be a bit interesting though.

Not an option in the Jaguar range, but the boot is big enough.. Part of me wants to go the e-Hybrid route, the Golf version is good, but "She who controls the money" SWCTM)is totally unconvinced. She wants power, and lots of cylinders...  Who am I to argue? Could do you a deal on a slightly worn bi turbo V8 petrol e estate 😊 Huge boot. Huge boots.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I agree Neil, I did swear after my last Jaguar experience (XJ8) never to have another one! It needed a new back axle after just over 700 miles and Dealer gave me a real dog of a Mondeo on loan for the six weeks it would take for the new axle to be delivered.  A message to the Chairman saying I wanted a complete refund had the repaired car back on our drive within 24-hours, but we then started a complete epiphany of electrical issues that were never solved. Never again I said... However the F-Type and the new reputation of the company puts that in the past and I must say the rest of the range looks good too! Maybe one for the future sometime. Regarding the colour of our test car Jays, yes it would have been ideal for you and it did have a special plug for rollers, only 12V though by now I'm sure you must have a suitable set!  Maybe this would prove more suitable for you than a Porker?

It'll suit you Peter....in the good old days, Vice Chairmen always drove a Jag Agreed... And the Chairman a Roller or a Bentley...perhaps a step too far. I'll wait and see what a half day drive brings. In the mean time I've got a drive in a Tesla. No serious interest, far too big and bling, but it has to be done!

As much as the Disco can feel indominatable there are those days (last night being one) when you shake your head in dispair at the quality of JLR products.
After a day in for service it has an engine fault, which was then fixed the next day (and a basket of Italian goodies left as a present). And last night it has decided to have a complete paddy - transmission fault - which bizarrely may only be a brake bulb out - or the battery on the blink. The latter was on charge last night and yet the fault was present again this morning!
I will do a full battery disconnect tonight and then a bulb check.
The Morgan is more reliable!!!

You may be able to cancel some transient faults using an OBD2 reader. There are several threads on the topic of OBD2 readers in the Morgan sections.

You may be able to cancel some transient faults using an OBD2 reader. There are several threads on the topic of OBD2 readers in the Morgan sections. Tried that - OBD reader doesn't pick up any codes. The wife disconnected the battery this morning - and the battery is now trickle charging without any gremlins possibly using any charge. Fingers crossed it gets it all working again - it has to be part exchanged in 10 days!
