Who knows what oil the Morgan Factory use for the S&S if they deliver the car. Is it 20W50 full synthetic, half synthetic or mineral?
Thanks ________________________________________________ Player

Mineral for break in.
Fully synthetic is recommended thereafter, but my dealer keeps putting mineral in mine. "Synthetic is only for hotter climates", he says.
Not sure what I should do...
M3W, now!!!

Stop worrying and just drive the thing.
It will make no real differance which of these oil is in the car.

Synthetic will hold up better to the high heat generated by a V-Twin. It will last longer than mineral as well. All it takes is being stuck in traffic with no airflow to really heat things up!
What's your mileage? Who cares. Is it practical? See #1. What happens when it rains? You get wet.

The official recommendation from S&S Is Mobile 1 V-Twin 20w-50, or Spectro Platinum 20W-50 V-Twin which is what I have switched to. Probably better than the Miller stuff Morgan use but you pays your money. The reality is that changing regularly is probably more important truth be told! Just enjoy using it, that's what its there for - happy motering!!!

Some rather boring reading on oil base materials. http://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/29113/base-oil-groupsThe Morris oil is solvent refined class 3 at best as it says in its own spec, the Spectro is API class 4 for cos it says so on the bottle. Probable better if you plan to hammer the engine when its hot!
