I used to drive the 57SC Gangloff Coupé sometimes. Whereas it is a stunningly beautiful car to look at, it was rather disappointing to drive. It is supposed to have 200BHP and if so, they must be miniature shetland ponies. The steering is very heavy and the whole car is just a bit disappointing to drive. For a supercharged 3.3L car, the power is surprisingly peaky. In comparison to say a Zagato bodied Alfa 8C2600, which I also get to drive from time to time, the Alfa feels light years ahead in both performance and driving pleasure.
What an incredible project.... the patience and skill required to create such a car are beyond understanding!
Dave Cale who used to work for MMC and built the original AeroMax body, now has his own coachbuilding business and is completely rebuilding a Bugatti Atlantic for the owner.
Again amazing skills that have to be seen to be believed, he has something like a three-year waiting list for projects.

So what is the difference between this and the Jaguar Lightweight E types
Missing a marketing dept ? Didn't get a number out of a book for authenticity ? Business not a personal goal ? Defined profit margin ?
Having said that both of them represent fantastic craftsmanship and I love them. It is great that these things occur and people who commission them deserve great respect. Rather like a certain Red car.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
