I sent a photo of my worn rear sprocket to my dealer Revolutions to forward to Morgan. They got back to me saying Morgan would not change it under warranty! Do they regard them as consumables like tyres? Since they have changed to steel this seems to indicate they acknowledge there is a problem with the original anodised sprockets.
Has anyone had one changed under warranty? If so did they have to fight or was it just accepted?

I know my dealer had a fight and don't know if Morgan coughed up or not. But I was not charged (for replacement at 3,800 miles after 1,000 miles at least of racket)...

Mine was changed under warranty but I think my dealer had to order the replacement up front and argued it out afterwards with Morgan.

I have had two alloy rear sprockets replaced under warranty and now have a (very heavy) steel one. I have replaced them myself. The first one was supplied via the dealer I bought the car through and the second direct form Malvern. Neither worn sprocket was returned, so I have two worn sprockets in my garage, may come in useful one day? Try contacting DSC at Morgan direct. The alloy sprockets are not consumables like tyres, they don't last as long as tyres.

Anyone know just how heavy the steel one is? Surely this could be made to be a reasonable weight...

It will be iteresting to see if the EV3 rear sprocket lasts any longer....
The initial torque from a 75Kw (100 bhp) motor could be as much as 790nm or 560 ft lbs...
No wonder they are quoting 4 seconds to 60.
That is super car stuff!

If they're anything like the pre release performance figures for the S &S version I would take them with a large pinch of salt .....

2015 car with 1600 miles covered - very worn rear sprocket and a noisey belt too as a result i would imagine. Picture sent to dealer who i am waiting to get back to me with a response - perhaps they are in communication with morgan? I don't want another substandard ally one on my car that will wear at a really swift rate - are the harder steel ones available yet?

Anyone know just how heavy the steel one is? Surely this could be made to be a reasonable weight... About 14 lbs. against 6 lbs. for an alloy one, maybe it's intended to improve traction as well? If it lasts longer than the new rear tyre I fitted at the same time I will be happy.
