Hello Folk, it's pain in the butt seeking your help once again.
Question: How are the door mirror bases attached to the doors - are they fixed with wood screws or 2BA size nuts and bolts?
Is there any particular points I should be aware of when fitting?

Mine are just wood screws.
When fitting measure thrice and drill once.
"Knock" on the door panel to make sure there's some timber behind to fix to. Also don't transfer measurements from one side to the other use a template from a fix reference (such as the screen) as not everything may be the same size on either side.

Apologies for the thread drift but on the subject of door mirrors. Just back from a few days in Scotland, on the way up country my near side door mirror glass flew out on the motorway, never realised how much I use it and or would miss it! Rang John Taylor and ordered a pair of his stainless mirror heads, they were here when I got home and not only are they of superb quality the delivery and service was first class. Round of applause for John please.......well chuffed customer here! I got the mirror heads and stalks and they fitted right into a 2008 +4's bases with no problem at all. They also give a much greater field of vision than even the previous round ones but to be fair they were bought in 2002 and have been on 3 Morgan's so no complaints there ;-).

Allen just fitted John's mirrors to my new car their diameter is 4mm larger than librands and being stainless steel will not rust!
