Sorry Phillip. I looked out for it a couple of days before. I'm back in later next week...hopefully it might then be waiting to be shipped out and I might catch it.
Jays Former Morgan owner. Gone but hopefully not forgotten!
Morgan club in Auckland had a "long lunch" at a members house on the beach in Castor Bay. Much food brought by attendees kept us going from noon to 4 pm !!! A very congenial way to spend an afternoon. Not too many mog cars though due to possible inclement weather and food transport requirements. H3nri braved the weather which in the end was actually quite good.
On Wednesday (24th June) We joined the MTWC Southwest group for their Devon run. Brilliant day out, well organised and a great bunch. There were 10 cars, two of which were 'new' (but the general public can't tell the diference anyway.) If you've not been on the run with the Three Wheeler Club, do it. If Ian Parkinson is organising it, definitely do it.. Ive put a link to a couple of photos and a snapshot video of the day in the Photos section and at the bottom of this post. Its noisy so if it is late at night where you are, turn the volume down before you click the video. https://goo.gl/ia0YBu
Just out the front of the house washing the Mogster when a voice from behind a baseball cap & sunglasses asked "Is that a Harley engine..?"
Turns out he & his wife are over from the States on business at the conference centre just outside the village, but decided he's bunk off this afternoons conference for a walkabout with his wife. Spent half an hour chatting about Morgans, S&S engine's and swapping tales. Seems he's got a '54 Chevy pickup at home as his plaything, so like true petrolheads we chatted until his wife collapsed from sheer boredom..
Lightened my afternoon, anyway!
Problem now is that the sun's caught half the car & I've got watermarks..
Saturday, for some reason Mods vs Rockers Chicago 2015 is now called 'MOTOBLOT Chicago 2015' ... about 500 cars and bikes, way too many interesting to photograph but many photos on FB. 1) Contestant # 2 has good taste 2) Something you don't see every day 3) Say hello to my little friend 4) The end
I can't compete with Conrad's photogenic 'cheeky' eye for a good pic, but I had a run down to Cassington just outside Oxford earlier. It was Bike Night, an annual fund raising bonanza originally started by the local old bike club to raise money for the school in the village.
Tonight was a pleasure to drive the wee beast, tee shirt weather there & back.
Too nice to stay in on a day like this, so met up with a friend for lunch at the place where we went to on last years Goggles & Gauntlets run. The lady running the place made a huge fuss & remembered us all, which was lovely.
No free grub, though..
