How exciting! Managed to get mine sideways today (eek!) due to foolishly heavy acceleration... Welcome to the dark side! Err..in sport mode? Robert, a fellow owner in LogMog, did the same on a cold wet road but ended up going off road into a massive bramble patch. No real damage, but the car needed a re-spray and panels replaced at the back.... These things can and will bite back.

I managed to catch it - must remember to feed the power in a bit more carefully.

Can you imagine what it would be like if it had been in first, the road was wet and the tyres cold?
VERY scarey!

Throttles are analogue inputs (Sermon) I have no problem keeping the back-end planted (or maybe with the slightest of slips) and make very rapid progress. The transfer from full throttle - through full braking and then back to full throttle should be smooth - and within the limits of traction. (Ends sermon)

Yes quite.... I've actually owned far more powerful cars, so I should know better. A moment of summer madness. Lesson learned.

Analogue control driven by digital instruction !
I always forget that the MB had a subtle little red "you're being an idiot" reminder light in the dashboard for when my size 10 presses hard to soon.
I then get in the Mog and find that it reminds me through a far more visible medium. The intended direction appears in the side window. So much clearer than a little red light.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

I had a conversation today with one of the MMC Directors about the Plus 8/Speedster and whilst he did not have accurate quantity figures to hand, he felt that over 50 of these models had been built in total. Germany was the biggest single market and only about 15/20 cars have been sold in the UK. Once MMC run out of V8 engines and move to a smaller, possibly twin turbo'd, BMW engine, then the V8 engined Trads and possibly the run-out and earlier Aero's could well become serious collectors items. Just thought I'd let you lucky owners know about the sound bite...

I suspect you are right about becoming collectors items. As for the BMW engine - do you mean twin-turbo as in twin-scroll or proper twin-turbo as in bi-turbo
