Don't get me going on the great mineral water con trick.
Indeed. In most supermarkets much of the bottled water is more expensive than the milk; a perfect example either of how overpriced bottled water is, or more to the point how dairy farmers have been getting stiffed.

Indeed. In most supermarkets much of the bottled water is more expensive than the milk; a perfect example either of how overpriced bottled water is, or more to the point how dairy farmers have been getting stiffed. If they can't stiff the supplier they will stiff the customer. Of course they prefer to do both!

My ex  once said to me "you should drink plenty of water before you go to bed it helps prevent strokes" I said " I haven't had a stroke in bed for ages"

It's the very essence of "Business".
Persuade customers to pay more than the product is worth by marketing and packaging and promoting.
We all get sucked in from time to time. It's what keeps the world turning. But sometimes, huge profits are generated irresponsibly.
A case on local tv last night of a young child with a growing disorder. A drug company has provided a specialist drug for a year for compassionate reasons, but now wants the NHS to pay £400k per year. How can any concoction possibly be worth, or cost £400k a year.
