Quite right, Graham. Carpets have no place in a sports car!

I like the practicality of the ribbed rubber floor mats in my 4/4, tho' I was a little disappointed thta they are not more hard wearing. I wore right through the drivers mat in 3 less than years.

That's a very good question

And I think the answer maybe is that neither the dealer nor Morgan want sell many at that basic spec and price as extras boost margin

On the subject of keeping the Memsahibs' hair in place whilst Morganeering, Jane was very happy when she discovered the hats made by Suburban Turban.

Originally designed for women suffering from hair loss, they have the enormous advantage of covering the whole head, so she can tuck all her hair away and prevent it getting tangled. There's also a range of styles to suit all tastes.

No connection to the company other than as a customer.

On my first Morgan I used to remove the windscreen and wear goggles and dearstalker with flaps down.

The car always seemed to go much faster but then it did have a Ford pop engine so 60 was fast.

One thing with the screen off you don't worry about back draught.

I have just rivetted some thin diamond pattern aluminium sheet over the rubber bit of my mat that was starting to break up. It replaces a small "overmat" I was using but not happy with. So far after a few runs it feels a huge improvement and looks good.
I used the shortest rivets possible with washers on the back to prevent pull through of the carpet.
