I'm happy to say I can vouch for the '15 model, 3,000 miles in 5 weeks with only a small amount of bevel box whine and a slightly worn sprocket. Interestingly if you stuff the passenger footwell with stuff the bevel box shuts up almost completely which leads me to think that a small amount of vibration is getting through and being amplified in the un lagged footwell.Some soundproofing will sort that! I have run Harley's for years and the sprockets wear on them too. This is much heavier and wears them harder, but regular jet washing the dermot off the belt stops it grinding itself to bits. I intent to run the thing everywhere rain or shine, its tooooo much fun not to enjoy. And for the first 30,000 miles if it it breaks someone else can fix it! Shes cruised the motorways for many hundreds of miles, lapped the TT circuit, and chugged the country lanes. More fun I can't think of

My M3W docks in Seattle next Monday, July 13th, so I’ve no direct experience with issues this tread is speaking to. However, I am left to wonder how wide spread these issues actually are. What percentage of owners are experiencing these issues? 10%, 20%, 50%? As with most things in life you hear about the complaints people have far more often, and with more vigor, than the successes. I have spent the last 5 months reading every M3W article I can find and I’ve followed every M3W thread here on TM. It does seem there are a number of issues and complaints but it also seems to be limited to 20+ different users who have reporting issues. Given the roughly 2000 new generation M3W’s in existence, a fair number of whom I presume belong to this forum (if they’re smart), how many of them have had these issues? Are 80% of owners trouble free, 60% 40%... 90%? I think an accurate perspective is needed to place this thread in context. Very astute observation. Enjoy your 2015 car.

Despite the misgivings the trend is definitely towards getting cures for all the ills, and my 2012 car is booked on the Paris - Dakar rally for 2018 once it is the paragon of reliability I am expecting by then.
Makes me realise how brave (foolish?) Charles Morgan was to take his early car on the Cannonball Run )or whatever it was called...)

Paris- Dakar what an adventure! Good for you! You must plan to keep us updated when u r on the Rally - in 2018!

Despite the misgivings the trend is definitely towards getting cures for all the ills, and my 2012 car is booked on the Paris - Dakar rally for 2018 once it is the paragon of reliability I am expecting by then.
Makes me realise how brave (foolish?) Charles Morgan was to take his early car on the Cannonball Run )or whatever it was called...) Epic!! Makes the Cannonball Run look like a trip down to Tescos.

My M3W has passed 19.000km. I purchased the car from the Morgan importer with 15k km. They did all the upgrades I was told.
So far : very noisy,
cracked exhaust pipes / replaced,
broken cam belt / MTW collected today for belt exchange; free of charge.
Thanks to TM I was prepared for such issues and therefore to react without any stress. Still lots of fun to drive her!

I rather suspect that he had a service/camera car in attendance most, if not all of the time?
The Paris - Dakar in a Three Wheeler sounds very ambitious, and what an adventure. Good on you, we will all be following your progress when it starts.

Grockle, I think we need to be very specific about the model year. I've done a bunch of the upgrades, Empire kit, new rear hub, removed exhaust baffles, out spaced the timing cover etc, plus moving out the pedals, smaller steering wheel etc etc. I just simply can't think of enough reasons to drive the car OR work on it. I've had a lot of interesting cars and motorcycles in my long (81 years) lifetime and the M3W has to be the most fun so far. Enjoy your car!

Also an exhaust pipe sheared at the head Snap! If you'll pardon the pun..... Lovely day here yesterday so took the M3W down to Leeds Castle for an Audi event and lost another Rectifier (I assume, no charging, although it did occasionally pick up shortly after a stop for some reason, then went back to no charge again) and also a sheared exhaust header stud. Still waiting for Bell & Colvill parts chap to come back with availability for a replaced handful.
