Where did you get the steel sprocket and how much, it might be a job for this coming winter lay up.
Factory and lots...but not a vast amount amount more than the aluminium sprockets so well worth a try. Will need good cleaning and protection to avoid rust during any extended period of non-use I reckon once the coating wears off. The steel sprockets should be generally available any day now; they were waiting on a fair sized batch to arrive when I called by last week.
I notice on a Morgan Twitter post that they appear to have changed the exhaust mounting brackets. Here is the old setup from the Morgan Parts List and the pic of the new.
This would appear to be a mid 2015 change. I see in the pictures of my car that the heat shield mounting bolts are close to the body whereas all the pictures of the pre-June cars I can find have the heat shield bolts centred on the exhaust pipes.
Plus low screens and steel sprockets as standard. Can there be much left to change?
The new mounts will make a much firmer fixing and stop bodywork damage from vibration. It seems a good mod to me - and yes the car is now really good IMO .
Not much Chapman engineering at Morgan, more Brunel inspired. Bigger, thicker, heavier seems to be the answer to most problems with the M3W. Not much chance of ever making the weight tax break.
