I think so too, and while they are at it, take the opportunity to sort the cars foibles and faults out once and for all, but when did MMC ever take advice?

If this was a paid for forum - it would shrink and other other free ones would appear. You only have to look at other types of cars and manufacturers to see that.

There is not a chance in hell that unhappy folk would be happy with a closeted existence - sorry.

As for the fall in value, I suspect nothing that complicated is the reason. There are rather a lot of secondhand five speeders being sold. And with quantity, comes a lowering of price. So outwith the criticisms the prices would have fallen anyway. One has to remember, something is only worth what somebody else is prepared to pay.

Sad to see a fellow Brooklands owner selling so soon. I'm not worried with resale price because I'm not into selling my own Brooklands. I hope to keep it and to have fun with it for many years more. Maybe my kids will sell after I'm gone, and I hope, for their own good, that the value of each of these 50 cars has gone all the way up. But, again, not my concern.


EDIT - I'm looking for flat rads in Portugal. All I found were RHD and there's only one LHD. Makes it more valuable here. I wonder how many Brookland LHD M3Ws there are out there ... maybe mine is the rarest of them all (not counting the ones shipped to the USA).

Decided to buy an Aston instead of a Three Wheeler? That decision rather suggests that you weren't really serious about a Three Wheeler!

Couldn't be a more different vehicle if you tried. From the bits I hear the M3W produced today is probably what it should have been when first produced. However, I have yet to drive a 2015 model and my experience is based n driving a 2012 model and friends who have later models.

I can see why you would think that, but I definitely was serious. I had a test drive and visited the factory, the reason I didn't buy one was because of what I read on this forum, its as simple as that.

I'm absolutely loving the Aston, but I'm already thinking about the new +8. A M3W could also fit in the stable, so watch this space (but don't hold your breath!)

I'm glad too, because butterfly owners don't deserve the experience. Sorry, but if you're not the sort of character who is able to invest in the experiences these wonderful cars provide without looking constantly at some other shiney bauble, then they definitely aren't for you.

If you'd REALLY wanted such a unique experience, you'd have let nothing stop you from owning one..

Totally. I think my family is now used to the way I do things, but both of the Morgans I've owned were bought without me owning anywhere to put them. Decent garages were sorted out for Morgan one within a week, and the three wheeler, that night (you'd be surprised, or not, by just how helpful folk are to the owner of a vintage Morgan).

The four wheeler was sold after I'd owned it for about 30 years, and the three wheeler I'm still counting at 17 years. Papillon? C'est ne pas moi...
