Chriss99 stated in a recent post

Chassis upgrades - there is a Morgan chassis upgrade kit just out (last week). It's a recall/warranty item so foc and I believe it fits between the front suspension uprights and triangulates to a front chassis member.

Has anyone any details photos of this upgrade, will check out myself with Krazy Horse when I return to UK. It is unlikely to be a recall item in my opinion, time will tell...

Has someone been complaining about those early chassis' cracking again? MMC have definitively stated that there is nothing wrong with them, and had never seen any cracked chassis, so what this 'upgrade kit' for? Maybe to make the ride more compliant for our US cousins?

Just like Harley, they have never heard of some issue and then the next year they "fix" it on the new bike for an issue that was never an issue. Then they won't retrofit any previous models because it was never an issue...

Protect the bottom line!

Here are a couple of photos of my June 2012 chassis upgrade. This was completed at the factory while the car was in for its CENTA & Urban Cooling upgrades (Feb 2015).

Before:

After:

The bolt-in cross brace was removed and the A-frame was welded in. In addition thick steel gussets were welded in to triangulate the area adjacent to the upper rear wishbone mountings. I have to say that its a very neat job and looking at it you'd think that its always been this way.

Whether this is going to be done to all early chassis or whether there is a new bolt-in solution I don't know.

That looks the business. Can I wonder why it took over 2 years to work this out, or am I just expecting too much?
