I agree reputation and proven success with Ford. Most successful UK Formula 1 engine manufacturer and second only to Ferrari worldwide.
Also Sierra and Focus prove they can make fast road cars.
I had a Cosworth engine in a 1650cc Series 5 4/4. It was well made and all the weak points were uprated. It had power right up the rev range.
If I was offering a tuned engine on a production car, like Caterham, I would go to Cosworth.
Standard Ford crate around £2500 Cosworth 205bhp £6800 (source Burtonpower).
I would have been tempted to tick that box if it was included on the options list and done without door handles.

The 225bhp Cosworth is listed at £9,124.84.

The Baby Doll was listed at £55k plus OTR costs (extras available).
The ARV6 was £52,500 plus OTR costs

So I wonder how the ARP4 will align with this. thinking

The babydoll is 250 HP and no warranty on the engine.

We assume the AR4 has a warranty so it could be the fastest with a warranty.

Maybe Morgan have had too many problems with the other engine suppliers and are trying Cosworth as Morgan's job is building cars not getting too involved in engine development and the hassle of sorting engine maps after release

There is no such thing as a plug-and-play engine package, look at the 3.7 Roadster for a good example. After the whole car is developed to its final form it will still need a re-map from the base get-you-started map provided with the engine ECU package. Even then something such as a small change in the exhaust system may require another re-map.

As a passing comment, I don't recall that there have been any problems with the Babydoll reported on TM.
