As well as all the good advice given, use "Copper Grease" on the splines, not normal grease.
If you are near Salisbury I'd be more than happy to come over to show you what needs to be done. I have a pair of axle stands that need a good (Morgan) home. Tarka has no need of front suspension greasing.....
Also with front wheels off greasing the front suspension is so simple.... Also brush the copper grease on to the splines as they can (should) be quite sharp and you can cut your fingers.

I've used MWS wheel cleaner & you need to use gloves & eye protection. Its performs as described but its expensive & no better than other cleaners. If you do not need a perfect finish SDoc 100 motorcycle cleaner can be used dry with wheels on & a low press water hose or even a pump garden spray to wash off. It also has a corrosion inhibitor.

A tip given to me by a long time Morgan owner who always had the best chrome wires i have ever seen, was to use neat cheap car wash applied with a paint brush, left a few minutes then rinsed off with the hose and then left to dry before given a buff with a cloth.
The neat car wash has a wax finish so nothing else is required and over time this builds up a protective coating,
I have used this method on my stainless wires for approx 10 years and cleaning the wheels is easy.

May I add to the sage advice given here that before raising the car you slightly loosen the spinners whilst firmly on the ground. This will prevent stress of hitting them passing through the suspension and any possibility of the car slipping off the jack/stands.

Reg Sensible advice Also when putting the spinners back on its worth giving them a strong tightening tap when the car is back on the ground
