My dealer Revolutions of Perth have been very good & sorted out my problems. However MMC are prevaricating over a steel rear sprocket & offered me half price parts at £264. Why should I pay as its in warranty & 5900 miles on a July 2013 build?

Its on its way to them now with engine warning light on, very difficult cold starting & wont cold idle, wobbling R/H head lamp, flacking chassis paint & rust on front wings, another oil tank gasket needed

Even so I think its great!!

Why not drive back to the dealer (or phone them) and discuss the issues you feel you have? If I can put your mind at rest as an owner of a similar aged vehicle, follow the link below and email me. An open forum is probably not the place to discuss problems that have yet to occur. Morgan warranty, as others on here will testify, is pretty good. Enjoy the car and stop worrying.

The sprocket can be arguably listed as a 'consumable' item. The motorcycle equivalent of a sprocket, maybe. Whether it should be wearing out is the question & that's maybe why MMC are meeting halfway?

Whom should one contact directly at the factory for consideration of those several problems that come up with the 2012 M3W?

Give the dealer and Morgan a chance to sort out your issues. They do care and the warranty is perfectly ok.

The 3 wheeler isnt a highly developed production car like a toyota and isnt perfect. It will make all manner of odd noises and is very unrefined.....but was that not obvious? No its not a quality car like a lexus, its handbuilt in a shed!

I have had concerns with my jan 2015 car too, but the dealers have been great ( rutters and espically bell and colvill ) as indeed have Morgan. The issues i have had are nothing like the early cars woes and are sort of what i expected, as has been the warranty back up.

To sum up, after 6 months and 2000 miles i still adore the car and dont regret spending , what for me was, a considerable sum of money.

Doing the lotto in the hope of a win so i can order a new plus 4 too, yes i have faith in Morgan and would buy another. Give them a chance to sort it!

Mid June they changed to small screens, revised exhaust mounts and steel sprocket. That's just what I have seen so far. Do you have pictures of your car?

Talk to your dealer , and Morgan, have realistic expectations and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

I too think 5000 miles on a rear sprocket is ludicrous, 30-40,000 surely would be the acceptable norm?

IMHO rear sprockets should be a warranty item regardless of age of the car as its the milage that kills it not the ticking clock.

If they supplied me one F.O.C. I would fit it myself and save them the trouble.

But as it is I'll just have to put up with the scalded cat in the boot.

5000 miles to wear out a rear sprocket would indicate that the aluminium ones (as originally fitted) are "not fit for purpose" and MUST therefore be a warranty replacement item.
