Cool, noted, as were the threads about bolts eating the leather. The only thing I haven't sourced yet are the thumbscrews for the rear shelf. Working on that.
And holding off on the Fairbourne screens for now.
I also have a piece of thin ply under both seats to protect the underside from abrasion with road dirt that gets in. The dirt on mine seems to collect on the trailing edge and can grind away at the leather if left.
If Steve McQueen wore the boots they should be cheaper as they would be used old stock. I put the wooden batten under the seat but narrow edge to seat to lift higher with bracket for stability. Silicone seal between frame & floor to keep out dust & water & gaps behind seats sealed with aluminium tape .
