I had a test drive in a 2014 Aero Coupe and thought it sounded great but somehow felt cramped inside compared to my S1. I know this sounds crazy but it really felt quite "snug" - I was thinking it due in particular to the s1 having plenty of room on the passenger side with no real dash etc? The alternative is spending some serious money and getting the S1 sorted with a fair bit of respraying in the "corrosion zones" as well as sorting out broken heater control, failed oddometer,fitting already purchased new wheels as well as having side exhausts fitted. I also think having a soft top is a major plus. Then there is the new Aero 8 !!! Looking in the future, would the S1 keep its price better?

Taffy.There will be a few Aeros on the market quite soon(Late models)and a big saving to be had i would love a 2009 ish car but is it worth an extra 25k i doubt it.whatever happens you will have to sort out the issues you have, and your half way there with the new wheels and clock.In the short term say the next ten years your car aint going to depreciate much its just a case of running costs and keeping it on the road.Whatever people say about the Mk1 Aero we are very lucky to be driveing such an awsome iconic car and a future investment if there is such a thing is guarateed.Dont forget those bits of corrosion happens on the new ones as well,once your front is sprayed up it will look like new till the first stone chip.

I don't "get" the coupe. The Max is automotive art, the SS takes some of those lines and adds a Targa roof (a huge boot and a rubbish fuel tank).

The GT adds the roof back in again - which seems to take away from the essence of a Morgan.

Max = YES
SS = YES
Aeros = Yes
GT = NO

Don't forget the Plus 8, Aero on the inside, Trad on the outside.
I've driven the Plus 8 S2 and the SS and I preferred the Plus 8, one reason is that it feels more open.
That and the hood doesn't leak.

I thought it had been agreed, when Peter was out of the room, that he was to have his own "Special Plus8" area - and won't be allowed to pollute the "modern" looking Aero forum anymore somestick

If it costs Aero money to service - it's an Aero.

Will that do? getcoat
