Excellent work and a great resource for all. Mines coming standard with a steel sprocket but the information provided for changing the wheel even is great to have, thank you

I supervised Calums practice when he changed the bearings, a man with great engineering skill. I just leant the car port and fuelled with whisky!

Thanks everyone - particularly Donald for the whisky!
Just thought that there are a few tasks on the car that need de-mystifying with the back wheel being one of the foremost so to speak.
Hopefully I won't be doing any more of these write ups as;
1. Taking the photos is a slow process and really gets in the way of getting the job done, and;
2. That'll mean that nothing has needed doing!

This might be the most thorough write-up for servicing the M3W that I've ever read.

Thank you for sharing and taking the time to photograph & document your work!

Although I've sold my M3W, I did read through this and was mightily impressed. Well done Calum that really is very helpful for all 3W owners.

Excellent write up Calum. Nice to know I did it pretty much the same when I changed the rear sprocket and wheel bearings but I wasn't public spirited enough to do the write up and photos. I like the bike scissor lift for the rear wheel, a good idea, particularly with the extra weight of the steel sprocket. I used an engine hoist from above with a sling. Some more information "saved", thanks.

Top stuff...interesting read even for a non-owner.
