Asked on behalf of Robbie, one of our members who has trouble posting due to a technical issue: -

Is it possible to change the front wings on a Series2 Aero 8 for the new Series 3 ones? I would prefer the look of the Series 3 front but cannot afford to buy a new car, so I thought it might be possible to have the best of both worlds!

I thought about doing the same last year and got a quote from the factory, but when I looked at the relative costs decided to order a new car instead.

So yes, it is possible but he needs to speak to MMC about it as it is quite an expensive option. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I have to admit to a preference for the cross eyed look of the S1 and S2 as it gives the Aero a style like no other.

If you were to swap the wings etc I would think the originals would have a good used value to a careless or unlucky owner of an earlier car.

I'd certainly have a set of S1 wings if anyone did sell them - always worth ahving a few spares about the place!

I was offered the green factory S3 demo car for less than I paid for my S2, problem with demo it had been used and abused by everyone and I prefer the S2 look
