A two hour run out through Chester and into North Wales. Going over the Westminster Bridge coming in the opposite direction were Terry (Chair of Devamog) &!Brenda. Couldn't have been better timed but unplanned. Coming back through Chester some teenagers shouted "Sweet!" which I take as OK a bit like "Sick!". Drove right through by The Grosvenor Hotel &?some Chinese tourists took some photos by The Rows as I slowly drove by. Finally, I guy shouted in a loud voice "Nice car!". A good run out for all!
Removed windscreen, fitted aero screen and had a nice half hour drive around the area. Much better without the windscreen. Think it will be a while before I fit it again!
Nice run down to Prescott today for the Prescott Revival meeting. Met up with Adrian, Cain, George (007) and his lovely girlfriend who had driven over from Germany in their very black MX5, and our Graham who as usual was marshalling. Great run up the hill as a passenger in Cain's 4/4 which is a decidedly poky thing! A couple of runs up the hill in Nero and rather relieved that I can now brake a lot better!
A shame that the Morgan contingent was quite small, the three of us, Greg Dixon Smith with the factory Soeedster and a couple in a green four seater. A Morgan lookalike did at one stage rather cheekily park between us! I asked him about his wooden chassis but he wasn't amused!
Jays Former Morgan owner. Gone but hopefully not forgotten!
oh yes, we went to a exhibition Wings&Wheels , held on a little airport nearby... parking was at the end of the runway.. now that was a nice extra, as we entered that hugh open road for approx a mile ... no cars followed GTN5
We enjoyed two lovely days of sunshine here in Berkshire. The Morgan did some every enjoyable afternoon and evening runs along the Thames valley to Sutton Courtenay, Culham, Goring, and Shillingford.
Don't see another Morgan, but did see two very nice Belgium reg. TRs in Dorchester-on-Thames.
Another day driving some 200km next to the Danube river. started to complain because of too much sunshine. Rather hot (35degC) so we cut the tour short by using a flying bridge ferry boat and drove back home: At present temperatures the garden pool does outperform the Moggy.
Hannes once: Green M3W; 2013 now: Red 4/4 Sport; 2011 and some practical cars for use in real life
Hannes I should have met you in the Wachau. I was just sitting at home thinking it's too hot to work and it's too hot to play. Pleased that someone is setting a good example and defying the heat wave. The car looks lovely.
And for those interested in engineering matters the ferry in the picture is driven entirely by river current I.e. No motor power. At least last time I crossed the Danube on it this was the case. And don't you love the flower box. Very Austrian.
