The car at Silverstone was not plumbed in for fuel and the engine had not been run. This one will presumably be the factory demo, and with a run of only fifty, I expect that it will do the rounds of the dealers, unless the dealers are expected to spec one up to fulfil the 50.

if you could find out whether the factory or factory sales folks are able to do demo drives, I would be most grateful.

Your best option is to ring the factory next week, or call in if you are within reasonable travelling distance from there. I would imagine as soon as that car is on the road there will be a huge demand for test drives, so you need to get in early. It could be a while before it does the dealer rounds unless they build another demonstrator.

I am getting the impression that there are a lot of orders in already, and If people aren't quick, they will miss out. It just shows that this is the sort of car MMC should be making in larger quantities, perhaps without The Cosworth engine, maybe as Peter has suggested, using the 2.5 Duratec, there is plenty of room for a taller block.

If I am not mistaken it did not have a wiring loom either. Still quite a bit of work to do before production starts. Who knows, some design features may change in the light of feedback received.

I understand the headlights are the only suitable LED lights that are available in both left and right hand versions.

The only thing I could criticise on an ergonomic front was the sharp corners on the gear box cover which I am sure will be changed on the production model

Aesthetically it might not be everyone's cup of tea with the LED lights and domed rear cover but it's certainly distinctive and its limited production will be sure to appeal to buyers as it adds to the value

There are three rather tasty Cosworth engines mounted with gearboxes stacked up outside Spares.....I keep stroking them! I'd love one in my Nero
