Went to Dumfries Car Show and was terribly disappointed. Was asked to display my 4/4 but almost everything else there were Boy Racer modified stuff.
Still the weather was good.
4/4 seems to be loosening up nicely after 3500 miles but Cain warned it might take 10000 and it is still for sale!

Enjoyable day yesterday - DonMog Grass Autotest - I came 5th and SWMBO was 3rd lady. Great fun - especially watching 3 wheeler ballet.

Brighton for the Balvenie run, starting at London Morgan in South Kensington. A great day well organised   My first time driving in London since I handed in my Black cab licence 25 years ago. I couldn't believe how much it's changed  200 miles for the day.

3.5 hour round trip to Williams this morning, and a welcome cup of coffee thanks to Nick, to book the car in for a new aluminium radiator and new hard chrome king pins for late September.

Recovering from my stomach bug I drove to G Missenden for a hair cut. 3 miles only but a great tonic.

Big day of fettling with the Plus 8. US configuration with Holley 4 barrel. Used an electric Holley fuel pump.
Holley fuel pump is gravity fed. Who knew?? Ran out of gas with half a tank. Tank level to low for the Holley to pull. Holley tech said mount the pump lower. Can't without bouncing it down the street.
Found a Facet pump with 24 inches of lift. Installed, but left a hose clamp too loose. Made a mess. Tightened it up and good to go.
Disconnected the water line that went to the heater. Too hot in the cockpit in Florida for an oven over your legs.
Test drive, great! Fuel pumps, no leaks and car goes like mad. Cockpit temp much better now. The wife will be pleased.
