Sensible structure. It protects the individual companies but also allows for cost sharing/cross charging/management charges and so on.

Does anyone know what steel the affected main chassis tubes are made from? My suspicion is that they will be a mild low carbon steel tube or something equally cheap. It might have been better if they had used something like Reynolds 853, which is known for its high fatigue resistance. Cheaper in the long run for Morgan to have used the correct materials. I know of one M3W in Toulon, which went back to Malvern recently for the chassis to be repaired and was diagnosed as requiring a new chassis. Not a cheap warranty job, albeit that Morgan is saying they will not pay for the transport.

A bit extreme.

They have changed the chassis from the 2012 original in 2013, 2014 and now 2015 so they are trying something.

Whether it's enough time will tell and as to whether they should have got it right first time - even the big boys c**k it up from time to time (eg Ferraris that catch fire!) hide

Porsche did it right. The people who had to hand back their GT3's because of the con rod fault, got a substantial cash compensation and a new GT3.

Morgan did not even know where my nearest service dealer in France was. They told me Toulouse (8+ hours away) or Belgium (about 11+ hours away). There was actually a service dealer in Aubagne just over an hour away. It was a Morgan Club of France member who had to tell me. I had hoped in the 45 years between Morgans that the company might had improved a bit but I begin to doubt it.

It shows the sales only (no service) dealer at Bandol in the south of France and Marcassus in Toulouse I mentioned in my post but not the local service dealer, Esprit Competition in Aubagne http://www.espritcompetition.fr. I phoned Morgan France and they also could not be bothered to tell me about Esprit Competition like Morgan in Malvern in their email to me. Morgan France gave me two addresses for M3W service, one of which was a body shop and the other knew nothing at all about three wheelers. This is pathetic!
