Coincidentally I bought one today which also had the "N" code. Between 1938 and 1945 apparently. Thanks Stuart - that narrows down the date. Apparently suffix A-P ran from 1930 - 1945. I guess none were issued during the war years, so logic says "N" must be late 30's. Alan, after a bit of mooching on the internet it seems that it is probably a 1938 badge if I understand the information from the website below correctly. http://www.triple-c.com/files/IMG8.pdf Mmmm - could still be up to 1945 if I read it correctly. It seems there was some overlap as "N" ran from '38 - '45, and "P" from '39 - '45. The "P" suffix appears to indicate a radiator fitting rather than a clip. I don't think the date can be narrowed down any further than that.
