Thanks Pandy. I saw it in newest topics hence confusion. No mention there of reference to M3W.

Tim.

Shipping my 3 wheeler from the UK to Michigan cost about $10,000 back in 2013, but I shared a shipping container with 2 other 3 wheelers also coming into the dealership, so to ship a single Morgan would be roughly $30,000 (not knowing what the cost is currently). This included import duties and taxes and a train ride from the east coast to Detroit.

Ship cost (container) is the cheap part.....surprisingly so.

Q8 those sort of figures sound much like I would have thought reasonable. If £15,000 was a one way cost nobody in Europe would buy Mustangs, Camaros & the like in USA for shipping home.

Shipping from Morgan Factory to NZ Dealer, door to door in it's own 20' container was only £2000. Peanuts really

A friend of mine has bought several cars from the USA and I'm always surprised how little the shipping costs him. He just has to arrange to collect the vehicles from the docks (usually Southampton or Liverpool).

Even the more positive stories in this thread are pretty horrifying. Really sorry for you... I simply now hardly drive my M3W - the fear of imminent failure or expensive hassle is overtaking the few moments of joy. And the cost per mile is getting close to Lamborghini territory!!

I worry for my Oct 2012 chassis, and many other issues but my car has been fairly reliable compared with many!

Hopefully solutions and sense will start to prevail but it doesn't seem so. I fear for what the future will hold! Now - cheer up! Stock markets have just collapsed faster than M3W values so perhaps the money is better spent than we all thought!!!
