I bought some of those Kitchen Sink Dunkers from M&S the other week. Gosh, but they were nice. Proper Lush. You were in M & S ?? I wouldn't admit to that. 50 Shades of Beige!

I have had three bad or unusual experiences in my life of Cars that i recall. a) Once attempted to trade a Silver TR7 to a London Dealer, on delivery he noticed the V5 recorded the colour as WHITE, further inspection under the carpets revealed the chassis number incorrect.the car was confiscated by the Police. a month later all was revealed, both a white car and a silver car were registered by the dealer at the same time at new, placing the wrong owner on the V5's, both owners had never picked up on the mistake, i lost out big time as the London dealer delt directly with the owner once the vehicle was released b) Bought a BMW 3series from a Dealer on the M8, services (i know idiot you say) all books and HPi clear with certified mileage. On delivery to a BMW Dealer he noticed the stamps in the book were from a Dealer that had been closed for over 3 years, further reveals exposed that the car had had the steering wheel changed (wear signs) the mileage clocked knocking off over 100k miles before HPI recorded. i auctioned it and lost a big one, outch. c) I purchased a B reg Montego estate 7 seater from a Soldier and sold it on, 3 month later the purchaser visited me and explained he could not Tax the vehicle due to it having Armed Forces plates on, i had to give a full refund and sit on the car for approx 8 weeks until i received a confirmation letter from the Armed Forces in Germany, then i could apply for a UK Reg, fortunately the Armed Forces place their Vehicles on one year behind so the new plate came to me as a "C" plate, i made good out of that one

My excuse is that I had a day in my client's Exeter offices, and needed to grab some lunch to take with me. There's an M&S at the J30 services on the M5, and a jolly tasty sandwich they do too!

I purchased a NEW 2009 Anniversary model Plus 4 from a dealer in 2010 that had been in the showroom for some time. Due to illness I paid for it but didn't take delivery until March 2011 so it was a 2009 manufactured 2011 registered car. In that time the Plus 4 had changed to a wider front track and wings along various other smaller detail changes, none of this I was aware of at the time I loved the car and it didn't detract from my Morgan experience, when part exchanged it was valued as a 2011 car regardless of the fact that it was 2009 manufactured and had its Anniversary badge on the dash. The Narrow body is now back in fashion. A 2007 1.8 4/4 with full spec £ for £ sounds like a better car than a 2009 basic 1.6 4/4 Sport to me, particularly if they are both on a 09 plate at the same price. I bet you wouldn't swop it for the 2009 model with no spec if they were side by side. Sorry you are so upset but it's still a Morgan and i'm sure the dealer priced the car according to its condition , specification and date of registration. As to any difference in Value between the date of manufacture and registration Im sure there will be none, either now or in the future but only time will tell.It may of course be more desirable as time goes on then you can ring and thank him. I can only tell you of my personal experience.
Peter. Aero plus8 50th Anniversary.

Of course, any sale is two-way and buyers have a responsibility to check such detail.
Legally this is not the case, as the dealer is the expert. Not legally but saves a lot of hassle Well it's clearly a 'Misleading Action'. See Regulation 5 of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2008/1277/regulation/5/made
Looking for another Morgan!

You might laugh but this has happened to me................ But so far I've avoided the beige outfit with velcro'd shoes.
