and rear tow-ring (why is this not standard )
(garage-boys: because Morgans never brake down )
(saying that beside a few Trads without engines and a S1 in full repair )

did the greasing of the front suspension, yesterday-evening
once more proved not to be a "DaveW",
first thing I did was putting grease on my shirt,
second: dismanteled the "head" of "locking-joint" or "coupling"
(don't now the UK-word) on top of the tube of the grease-pump,
so had to fix that first,
then I hardly found the grease-point

but job is done, Mogggie is ready for the Ring

My 'outfits' start off as 'work' or 'home'. When old, then they become 'Hacking off at home'(according to MrsW), which is for general bumming about (my favourite yellow checked shirt is now in this category). Beyond that there are three semi-interchangeable categories: Decorating - i.e. emulsioning and general DIY. Then there's gardening. And finally car maintenance. There's an element of crossover in these categories.
All include old jeans, usually with holes, old shirts, an odd old T shirt, and oodles of old bobbly sweatshirts. Plus a vast selection of bobble hats , and old anoraks. I kid you not. It can be cold in that garage.
I learned many years ago not to compromise 'good gear' by picking up a grease gun without stripping off.
Mind you I once had a freshly painted white gate blow into my arm on holiday - black sweatshirt - oh dear.........
I don't carry turps on holiday.

I suppose your Roll-bar is from Librands. Does it interfere or obstruct the hood system at all? Could you tell me how it is connected to the wheel arch and on the sill behind the seat, is the leater removed or is it bolted on the leather? I am curious because I am planning to install one. (some pictures would be great) JT

roll-bar: doesn't interfere,
you just can't put the hood as far down, so a bit "tensed" under the hood-cover,

I've got the impression that the roll-bar is too far to the
end of the car,
to make it suitable under the hood,
(also: you can't put a finger between hard-top and rollbar: that's close!!!)

so if you have a habit of rolling cars: look for a better one
this one is 75% style, 25%protection : my humble opinion

That roll over hoop looks like a Librands unit http://www.librands.co.uk/products/rollbar.htm

However you need to note the following for real track work and saftey.

According to the MSA Regulations (blue book)

The roll bar should be sufficently high that in the event of the vehicle turning up side down the drivers head with a helmet on does not protrude above a virtual line between the highest structural point at the front of the car (on a Morgan you could believe this is the top of the cowel... although could better assume the top of the cross frame.) and the top of the roll-bar.

Clearly with this particular roll-bar as can be seen from the pictures even the drivers head with no helmet protrudes above this line and therefore should be considered cosmetic only.

Unfortunately, one symptom this tends to induce in Morgans, is that unless very creative most true safety roll-bars restrict the ability to raise and lower the roof.... and even then to get the helmet height low enough the seats need to be lowered and rake adjusted... usually resulting in an after-market seat such as Sparco Rev or a Tillet type..... The Roadster Lightweight for example has this set-up to meet regs.
