Sorry Peter I forgot I was speaking to an old timer. I could recommend some après sun though.

I am just having treatment on my face for sun damaged lesions - not cancerous but a warning. My dermatologist gave me a good tip that if the body throws a shadow on the ground put on sun screen & wear a hat! We go in our Morgans it is sunny but cool & don`t realise we are burning.

A small bottle of factor 50 sun screen lives in the side pocket of my Mog: arms and face are at risk.
I always wear a hat, mostly to keep the sun out of my eyes, but also to protect my scalp!

To each their own of course, and you have different tyres to mine, but you might find 1.7 bar gives you a better compromise between feel and ride. 1.9 bar would, I think, give a fairly harsh ride.
I agree that the car does feel squirmy with the factory recommended 1.5 bar.
Regarding steering: if it feels a bit weird you may need to get toe-in and camber checked. There are several opinions on what this should be on a 4 wheeled Morgan. I have had two knowledgeable people suggest 0º toe-in, and one suggest 0º camber and the other 1º camber. If I recall correctly toe in should be an overall 1/16 inch, I set up my plus 8 with this and .75 degrees of negative camber which worked well. Nice positive turn in, and no steering wheel shimmy induced.

Really it is only in very low speed corners with lots of lock that I find it weird. Otherwise it's pretty good, almost like, er, a normal car. So it's not a problem.
I forgot one more minor gripe. Tall drivers need to have the seat at its most rearward point and then it is quite a stretch to grab the handbrake.

I'd let the front end run in a bit first Peter before you contemplate any changes. the bushes can be a bit tight to start with.

I would also recommend 1,7 tyre pressure on 4/4 with Contis. With 1,9 please try to break carefully when not in traffic in the wet. You could slip away. Plus you might get too much understeer in the wet. I drive 1.5 mm toe in and therefore have no wobbles, the car behaves nice in curves. Camber is zero and fine also. I have added brake reaction bars at front and Avo shocks in the back. The adjustable Avos make the ride more stable and you get less roll of the back in curves. They also help to compensate the tendency that the rear springs at least on my car are too soft, and on normal bumbs the leaf spring touched the chassis without the Avos. Otherwise I tuned the shocks not becoming too hard, just so, that the spring does not touch the chassis.
No more changes and 15 000 happy Km driven.
I think in nearer future about the shorter 4.1 axle. The 3.73 (I need the last proof if it is really a 3,73, the plate on the diff is unfortunately unreadable) is too long in relation to the engine power.
My son drives a 1995 MX5 with 90 PS and a 4,1 diff ratio.. The ratios of the gearbox are the same as listet here in another thread with regards to the current 4/4. In addition the Mazda has 185/60/14 tyres. His car drives excellent, so I have no worries the the 4.1 diff could be too short when paired with the even bigger 185/80/15, which is a difference of ca. 10% in the direction of a longer ratio compared with his tyres.
Many happy miles for you. All changes should keep some time, just get familiar with her first. Only the issue with the tyre pressure should be solved before you get the first rain. I also will change the tyrs brand next spring.
P.S. today my son drove his MX5 with newish good normal road tyres, and I drove the 4/4. We paused somewhere, the surface oo the parking was a white sand. His tyres were white when parking, the tyres sticked it up. My Contis picked up nothing, almost dark and not sticky at all.

Essential to cream up before a journey - we use f50. I hate using it because it leaves your hands slimy. No problem with greasy hands though! Don't forget the backs of your hands and your ears, back of neck and "v" - shirt neck. We always have long sleeves and covered legs and this follows a honeymoon road trip with no hat, no sunscreen and shorts. We regretted that for a long time. A huge number of soft top drivers don't wear a hat, even when completely bald, and its barmy doing that.

Peter - glad you are enjoying your 4/4. i run on 24 psi and find that best on Contis. I too wil change from Contis when asppropriate. You will find a differenfce at about 3000 and 7000 miles when the engine loosens up. It really is a hoot.
