Hi all, as a newbie Aero 8 owner I'm interested in your advice as to which UK Clubs to get involved with. What are your thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Join the MSCC (Morgan Sports Car Club) - there is an aero chapter (SpeedMog on this site is the Chairman). (Around 30 quid or so for the year - for this you get a copy of Miscellenay the club mag every month.

Also, join the AEro 8 owners club - which is rather more at 1000CHF (Swiss francs) for the first year and they 500CHF per year thereafter - but for that you get invited to participate in Morgan events (e.g. invites to Geneva Motor show on press day / GT3 racing and the annual club trip to the South of France in September)...

Here is a link to the Aero 8 & Aeromax Club.

This club tends to be European based, other than the one event at Silverstone for the GT3 race.

The chaps on Talk Morgan arrange events - sometimes small, other times larger groups. There is no restrictions as to who can initiate these meets, it is down to someone to put out the idea and for others to join in. I'd suggest finding out who is in your local area as most people tend to meet up quite regularly with their other local Morgan owners.

Other than that, it is worth seeing what your regional MSCC centre is up to as again, this is a good way to meet new people. smile

Thanks guys - I'll take a look.

Are there any particular evcents coming up that you would regard as "must do's"? I know this is the Morgan Centenary Year so I imagine there will be a few things on the go.

Hemel Hempstead area. On the events front I will be at the Silverstone Classic Sat and Sun - any Morganish plans out there that anyone is aware of?

Added it to my existing blanket policy - will shop around when it's renew time in October.

Not shy at all, I can't wait to get out there among the Morganisti (if that's what they're - we're - called)
