I'm the new owner of a '69 Plus 8 with a broken rocker switch on the dash. The problem is, I can't figure out what it's supposed to do. It's at the right end of the lower row and has a white triangle pointing up and a red triangle pointing down. Can anyone solve the mystery for me? Thanks v. much

Have you switched it on to see what activates? If nothing then the above diagram could apply? Check rear foglight ( if fitted) for on/off, but the arrows you have are not the modern rear fog signage....

I think that's meant to be an engine cut-out switch.
It is an engine cut out switch. It also operates as a parking switch; that is if the parking lights are switched on, the passenger side lights should be switched off leaving the driver side parking lights switched on.
Parking lights are the rear tail light and the side light mounted on top of the wing.
These swiches over time can stop working (as against) fail as lack of use and time allows the contact grease (petoleum jelly) to solidify. They are repairable althoug the sidelight / headlight ones do have a tendency to burn out.
