Hi,
Does anyone have the part number from the above? Is it a Morgan specific part or is it the standard Range Rover one?

Found that, but think its the earlier car as they changed the setup my one is 95 so R380 box

Use the Girling reference number on the slave cylinder.

There are two types if the slave cylinde is mounted at 12 o'clock on the belhousing. These were fitted to Austin A60 Westminsters as well as Formula Ford 1600s.

They are available from Girling and Willwood as well as thise of Chinese or Indian manufacture. Personally, I'd avoid the asian ones.

I believe that this is a specific part for the Rover SD1, similar to, but not the same as, various Land Rover parts.

Seem to be getting scarce now, and some are of dubious origin. Might be worthwhile having your original reconditioned,and re-sleeved in stainless? Those that re-condition brake parts similarly would readily do this. Then, with regular fluid changes, you would have a part for life.

2002 Plus 8 (and hence same set-up as yours)

So tried just bleeding the system before I put a new cylinder on, but its now squeaking when you press the pedal, can't quite understand it..

Any ideas whats causing the squeak, the pedal box is greased etc.

It could be the end of the piston misaligned on the 'fork' that operates the clutch. My old +8 (1983) also had a plastic clip that slides over the fork and helps to locate the piston on the fork.
The plastic part usually falls off and ens up in the bottom of the bellhousing. I had a few hours of fun finding it again and retrieving it using an 'endoscope' that I bought from Aldi.
