Early start to get there in good time, RDV with Ray on route.

3 1/2 hour drive so fingers crossed!
It's a day out anyway with other Moraneers so will not be a total washout.

At Emsworth, just west of Chichester, It poured all night with heavy rain.
The rain is clearing, light drizzle now and due to clear about 10.00.
My worry is whether the runway will be too wet.
Fingers crossed all will be well.

Take off now delayed to 14:00 Made no difference to me! Set off a 6:30am...hit very bad traffic on the A417 then sat in a queue with 7 miles to go for a number of hours. By 12:30 still with 5 miles to go and to make things worse, forced down a side road off a roundabout by a very irate police driver who was trying to get an ambulance through the stationary traffic plus bladder bursting, I gave up. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.  Overtook a couple of Morgans on the way back, on A34 south of Oxford red with beige roof up and then M42 near Redditch an orange red one gallantly being driven in heavy rain with roof off! Any TMers?

The telly in the office coffee/breakout area has been showing some clips. A very stirring sight, 40 Spitfire and Hurricanes plus a Blenheim. Amazing.
