With last weeks Autocar magazine was a supplement, "Low Carbon Vehicles" which included a one page article about the EV3. To be launched late 2016/early 2017, there seems to be 10 buyers already lined up from the UK and Holland!

Thanks, Jays! Interesting article. I missed it going up the hill at TOTH, and look forward to seeing it in action there next year in Phase 2 form. I managed a run up in one of the company's M3Ws, and was very impressed. Hopefully they'll get a bit more acceleration out of the electric motor as it's developed, and I look forward to the redesign. wine

I had a nice chat to Jon Wells at TTOTH and was sorely tempted to be one of those 10 but the boss lady managed to talk me out of it!

We'll see how the production version fairs before ruling it out totally though!

"...adapted with feedback from early adopters?" I suppose there's always going to be a bit of adapting with feedback, especially with low volume auto makers, but the history of the M3W certainly gives me pause in that regard. On the other hand, I find the idea of an electric Morgan-style 3 wheeler as interesting as the petrol version - though for different reasons. Any word on pricing?

So, Jon Wells has given the clearest hint so far about the styling of the production EV3:

Inspired idea to hide the shoe box under a cow catcher... innocent

Why not cut out the middle and go straight to steam power. After all we burn fossil fuels to make electricity that is then transported on copper wires to re-charge a car in 4 hours so that it can go 100 miles.

A nice methane powered flash boiler, a nice little triple expansion engine, bring her up to pressure in a few minutes and away you go. Main advantage would be that you would always have boiling water for a nice cuppa.

Im actually shocked they were able to decrease weight by adding an all electric. Generally it is the opposite.

"All these figures expected to improve before launch". Oh, just like the petrol version? So the HP rating will go down and weight will climb?
