It seems that democracy and stupidity are inextricably linked.
People are prepared to support ideology without substance when it's spouted by individuals with "charisma".
It happened in Scotland,and let's face it the Labour team were as dull as ditch water. And now it's happened to Labour, where Corbyn had more presence on stage than the other contenders put together.
But it's amusing to watch the back pedalling in progress now.

I do appreciate this support of ideology as I feel slightly hypocritical. I will vote to leave the EU no matter the outcome of negotiations. I think soverenty is more precious than money. The difference in this case is the UK is economically viable and will probably be more so outside the EU.

It's a real tough one John.
My instinct tells me we would be better not governed by unelected & interfering bureaucrats in Brussels, even with the issues we have with Westminster politics.
But then I can't see why Scots want to leave the UK but stay in the EC.
So an immediate contradiction which no matter how long I ponder, remains a conundrum. Both views can't be right. Possibly neither view is right. But then 'right' only comes with hindsight in politics?
And I have no political affiliations. I belong to the "leave me alone" party, and its only when that boundary is challenged that I wake up.

I've really had enough of all the talk of independence.
Lets give them independence, they drain more out of the union than they put in.

Don't quite understand your first phrase but I completely agree with the second half.
